TBBC Draft Programme 2009 TBBC Registration Form
The Eleventh Joint Meeting of Taiwan Britain Business Council (TBBC) is scheduled to be held in Taipei on 8~9 June, 2009.
The Taiwan Britain Business Council (TBBC) was set up to promote and advance bilateral trade and investment between the UK and Taiwan. The Council consists of senior businessmen who meet formally once a year, alternately in the UK and Taiwan. Key contacts from both UK and Taiwan are invited to participate.
The annual meeting, which this year incorporates groups from the "ICT", "Infrastructure", and "Financial & Professional Service" sectors, provides numerous opportunities to meet prospective customers and partners and, of course, to strengthen existing relationships. The meeting also seeks to identify and develop new initiatives, including in third countries.
A programme of visits to companies and organisations in each of the three sectors will take place on 8 June. On 9 June, following the short opening plenary session of the meeting itself, sector groups will hold separate simultaneous sessions with their Taiwanese counterparts. These sessions will provide a forum for discussion of in-market opportunities and challenges. Following the breakout sessions, 1-to-1 business talk will be arranged and sector chairs will summarise key findings in plenary towards the end of the meeting.
